NEW 11/13/14 - Settlers Bank Marietta College Scholarship to students who will be enrolling for the time at Marietta College. In the amount of $2,000.00 per year and may be renewed for an additional thrree years if the student is in good academic standing and is making satisfactory progress towards a degree. Deadline for application is January 31, 2015. Application available in the guidance department or online at www.settlersbank.com.
February 8, 2015 - College Goal Sunday will have a free FAFSA Assistance class for anyone interested. This will start at 2:00. For more information or to register please email www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org. There are many counties and places this is offered. For around here Washington State Community College and Zane State.
NEW - The William D. Squires National Foundation, Inc. Scholarship. Amount is $3,000 per year, renewable for a total of $12,000. Applications will be accepted from February 1 until April 6, 2015. Eligibility is primarily based upon financial need. EFCon your FAFSA SAR must be less than 8,000 to apply. Applicant must already know their career goal, be highly motivated and have good character. Must show academic promise; minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA. Apply at www. wmdsquiresfoundation.org or see Robin in guidance for a copy of the application.
NEW - The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship - just received in guidance. Deadline to apply and return to guidance is 9:00 am, January 29, 2015. NEW - The David V. Stivison Appalachian Community Action Scholarship Fund - 2015 for those students wanting to attend an institution of higher education, but lack the required resources to do so. Application deadline is April 1, 2015. Applicants must be a resident of the 30-county COAD service area at least one year before the application deadline, reside in a household with a total annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, have obtained or will obtain a high school diploma and show proof of acceptance by an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution of higher education.
